Spencer (2021)

Spencer (2021). Finally got around to watching this movie today. It just didn't seem like a greatly entertaining movie so I kept avoiding it to watch other mindless and a bit more entertaining (most times) movies. But I finally decided to focus and get this movie off my list.

For me, it was very slow and took a lot of power to maintain focus to even watch much less finish the movie. In all truth, I ended up watching this movie over a few days spread throughout a week or so.

There were moments of good where one was able to see the kind of 'anti-establishment' person Diana kind of was. It also did a good job showing that she seemed unhappy and miserable (at least that's what I got from the scenes).

But again, as I mentioned, it was very difficult to want to continue to watch this movie as it just dragged on and on.

FINAL VERDICT: I cannot recommend this movie. Some people may find the portrayal of Diana good, accurate or whatever but it was just tedious and taxing to watch.

Jollibee - Preston Rd (Plano, TX)

A few weeks ago, I was able to try Jolliebee in Plano. Ordered the Spicy Chicken Sampler deal which included a 6-pc Chickenjoy bucket, 3-pc Chicken Tenders and 2 Chicken Sandwiches. I also ordered a Cheesy Yumburger and a side of Adobo Rice (not shown). Overall the chicken was pretty crispy. 3-pc tenders were not as flavorful/spicy as the 6-pc chicken. Chicken sandwich was pretty good. The Yumburger had an interesting taste but it was pretty good. The Adobo Rice was garlicky and very good.

FINAL VERDICT: If I'm in the area again, I will definitely return and try a few of their other offerings...and especially more adobo rice.

Whataburger - Upper Greenville Ave (Dallas, TX)

I hope I've finally learned my lesson...the service at this location has really gone to shit!

I ordered via the app at 11:02 pm on Sunday 3/7/22. Said my order would be ready at 11:12 pm. I get to the restaurant and the dining area is locked and apparently closed for the night as of 11 pm. I called the store and the person said I have to go thru the drive thru. I tell her there are 8 ppl in the drive thru waiting to order. I've already ordered. She said once I get to the speaker they'll "rush" me to the window. I say, 'Okay' and pull in line with the others in a double drive thru but with only one lane open.

The point of ordering via the app in advance is to avoid the wait at the store and yet there I was at 11:28 pm waiting in line to get to the speaker so they can advance me to get my food order.

I figured this was probably a safety issue as the curbside parking spots are at the front area of the dimly lit parking lot. I imagine that they didn't want to put their employees at risk by exiting the restaurant late at night and walking to a stranger's vehicle.

However, when I finally got to the speaker, I was instructed to pull forward in the second, outer lane of the drive thru. About 5 mins later, someone walked my food out to my car. Not quite as far of a walk but still could pose a risk.

Anyway, they should at least give notification on the app that the dining is closed. I would more than likely not have made an order if I knew this was the case.

This is a ridiculous set up and service. I just felt like this is truly poor management and delivery of services!
