Cattleack Barbeque - Dallas (Gamma Rd)

Visited CattleAck BBQ today with a coworker. What you see is my order of an individual side of beans with burnt tips, a pint of mac-n-cheese with green chile bits, a pound of pork ribs and a pound of brisket. After adding two 20oz soda bottles and a small tip, the total price came to $61.11.

Also, the wait to order, pay and eat was one hour and thirty minutes.

Yes, we waited...in line...for one hour and thirty minutes.

Insane? Yes.

Somewhat ridiculous? Yes.

Worth it? Yes!

The brisket was mainly the reason it was worth it. It was so tender and juicy that one could cut it with a plastic fork. A PLASTIC FORK! Now, to clarify, maybe not all the brisket is this juicy but the option I chose was. When you get to the counter, they ask do you want marbled or lean? I've never heard of these options before but I knew lean was not the choice anyone that wants real barbecue would choose. They do automatically use the lean option for someone who orders a brisket sandwich. Waiting the time that I did, I was NOT getting a freaking sandwich!
