Stiky Ribz Bbq - Lower Greenville (Dallas, TX)

I previously wrote about Louie King BBQ here. Turns out my instincts were right and they didn't last long. Not Long at all.

Louie King BBQ shut down. About a month or two later, it opened up as Stiky Ribz BBQ. Their one and only other location in Forney had some pretty decent reviews so I figured I'd try this location.

I went around mid-afternoon with my youngest to give it a taste.

We ordered a 1/2 lb of brisket (moist/fatty), 1/2 rack of ribs and 2 sides (potato salad and baked beans).

The brisket tasted a little like pot roast than barbecue brisket to me. The ribs fell off the bone but all in one piece like removing the stick from a corn dog. All meats were tender but a little flavorless to me. The sweet barbecue sauce tasted like KC Masterpiece, Sweet Baby Ray's or Kraft--not bad just nothing special.

Baked beans had meat chunks in them and tasted good but just like Bush's. Potato salad was whipped but a little bland.

Currently there are other places close by that serve better-tasting meats but this place could temporarily satiate a barbecue craving. They basically just opened and I read an article that they felt they'd have some adjustments to make with a new smoker and such so I'll probably give it another try after some time passes.
